J. D. Sanitation

J. D. Sanitation is tucked inside the Reliance Complex at Troop Bazar. Our shop number is 37, but the whole area is just 5-1-596/B. If you have been to Troop Bazar, you know how crowded it gets with all the hardware and plumbing shops. We have pipes stacked up in the corners and boxes of taps and valves everywhere. It’s a bit of a squeeze to walk around sometimes. We have been here for years, dealing with all kinds of fittings. It’s a noisy place with people shouting and carts moving stuff. We don't have a big display window or anything. Most people just come in and ask for what they need by looking at the shelves. The light in the back of the shop is a bit dim, so we use a torch sometimes to find the smaller washers. We drink a lot of tea while waiting for deliveries to arrive. It’s a practical business. We talk to plumbers and contractors all day long. They know we have the parts even if the shop looks a bit messy. It is hard to keep everything organized when you have thousands of small metal pieces. We just try to help folks get their bathrooms fixed. The morning rush is the busiest time when everyone is trying to get their supplies before starting work. It’s just how things go down here in the bazar. We usually close up when the sun goes down and the market gets quiet.
