Tirumala Roto Lam (P) Ltd.

Out here in Kattedan, things move at a different pace. We are located at 146, Survey No-48, which is right in the heart of the industrial zone. Tirumala Roto Lam (P) Ltd. is essentially a big workshop where we spend our time dealing with lamination and various materials. The air inside always smells a bit like plastic and ink, which you get used to after about five minutes. It’s a large space with high ceilings, but it still gets quite warm when the sun is beating down on the roof. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture; mostly just sturdy tables and the machines that do all the heavy lifting. Our day usually starts around eight when we turn everything on and check the rolls. There’s a lot of moving parts, and someone is always shouting over the noise of the rollers to be heard. We’ve got a small area for the files and the computer, but most of the action happens on the floor. The roads around Kattedan are mostly used by big trucks, so it can be a bit of a challenge getting in and out sometimes. We usually bring our own lunch and sit near the back where it’s a bit cooler. It’s a straightforward business without any bells or whistles. We just focus on the work at hand and try to keep the machines running smooth until it's time to head home.
