We are way up on the 12th floor of Babu Khan Estate in Basheer Bagh. It’s a huge building and being on floor 12 means we have a pretty good view of the L B Stadium and the Commissioner’s office. Getting through the Basheer Bagh crossroad traffic to get here is always a challenge in the mornings. Inside the studio, it’s mostly dark rooms with bright monitors. We do animation work, so people are usually hunched over their tablets or keyboards for hours. It’s a lot of detailed, slow work. The office is a bit of a mess with hard drives, cables, and coffee mugs everywhere. Sometimes the elevators in Babu Khan Estate take forever, so we spend a lot of time chatting with people from the other floors. We’re right near Moghul Court too. It’s a professional setup but it doesn't feel like a bank or a corporate headquarters. It’s more like a workshop where things are constantly being made and changed. We stay late most nights because that is just the nature of animation. There’s always another frame to fix or a render that needs to finish. We’ve been in this building for quite some time and it feels like home now. The noise from the stadium can get loud during matches, but we just put on our headphones and keep working. It’s a busy, creative spot in the middle of a very crowded part of the city and we just enjoy the process of making things move.
