Our office is tucked away in Bapu Nagar, which is part of the Chikkadpally area in Hyderabad. The house number is 1-1-287/28/1, which can be a bit of a mouthful to say if you are giving directions over the phone. Chikkadpally is a busy neighborhood with lots of shops and people moving around at all hours. We work out of this space doing life insurance stuff, which mostly means we are surrounded by stacks of paper and busy computer screens. Hyderabad is famous for its food and its traffic, and we experience plenty of both every day. We usually grab lunch from one of the local spots nearby and then get back to the grind. It is a straightforward office without any of the fancy bells and whistles you see in the new tech parks across the city. We prefer it this way because it feels more connected to the actual people who live in the area. We aren't here to give sales pitches or use complicated jargon. We just help people with their policies and make sure the records are updated like they should be. It’s a lot of routine work, but it is important to the folks who come in to see us, so we take it one day at a time. It keeps us busy and keeps us focused.
