Swati Soaps

Our place is at Plot No. 127 in the CIE area of Gandhinagar, Balanagar. It’s an industrial patch, so you’ll see a lot of sheds and workshops around us. Swati Soaps is where we make all our soap products. It’s a hands-on kind of place. There’s usually a bit of a soapy scent in the air around the plot, which isn't a bad thing. We have the mixing vats and the cutting tables all set up in the main area. It gets a bit hot in the summer because of the machinery, but we keep the fans going. We aren't some massive factory with robots; it’s mostly us doing the work by hand or with simple machines. Balanagar is a good place for a business like ours because everything we need is relatively close by. We don't have a fancy showroom. If someone wants to see what we do, they usually just come to the office at the front of the plot. We’ve been here long enough that the postman knows us by name. We just focus on making the bars and liquids without a lot of fuss. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes we have to work Sundays if there’s a big order, but that’s just how it goes. We just put on our aprons and get to work every morning. It is a noisy but good place to be.
