Being in IDA Jeedimetla means you are always surrounded by the sound of metal and machines. Our shop at Plot No 4 on Pipe Line Road is right in the middle of all that. It’s a practical place. We don’t have air conditioning in the main work area, so it gets pretty warm in the afternoons, especially during the summer months. We mostly just focus on whatever job came in that morning. The floor is usually covered in some kind of metal shavings or oil, but that’s expected in an engineering place. We have a few guys who have been with us for years. They know the machines better than anyone. Subhash Nagar has changed a bit since we first got here, but the work stays the same. We spend most of our day checking measurements and making sure nothing is loose. Sometimes a customer comes in with a sketch on a piece of scrap paper, and we have to figure it out from there. It takes time, but we don't mind the challenge. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop on the road. We just want to finish the work and go home to our families. The tea stall nearby is where we usually take our breaks and talk about the day. It’s a simple life here in the industrial area. We just keep our heads down and handle the tools. If you walk past Plot 4, you’ll likely hear us before you see us.
