Being out here in Jeedimetla at Plot-102 means we’re right in the middle of all the industrial action. The SVCIE area is always noisy with trucks and machines, which is just how things are around here. We work on modular cleanrooms, which basically means a lot of time spent looking at panels and checking measurements. It’s dusty outside but we try to keep the inside of the workshop as tidy as possible. Most of the guys at Srprefabs have been here since we started, so we have a rhythm down. The morning usually starts with a quick talk about what needs to be loaded onto the trucks. We don't have a marketing team or anyone writing fancy speeches for us. It’s just us handling the day-to-day stuff. Sometimes the power goes out or a delivery is late, and we just have to figure it out on the fly. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to build these spaces. We drink a lot of chai during our breaks and talk about the weekend. The office part is small, just enough for the billing and the phone. We’ve got a lot of metal and materials stacked up, waiting for the next project. It’s a busy place, and there’s always something that needs fixing or moving. We just keep our heads down and do the work that comes our way, trying to stay out of the heat as much as we can.
