Sri Venkatramana Paints & Hardware

We’ve been here at 11/A in Sri Krupa Market for a good while now. It’s right across from the Apollo Emergency Clinic in Malakpet, so people usually find us pretty easily if they know the area. The shop is full of all sorts of things, from different shades of paint to small hardware bits that people need for their houses. Most days start early, getting the shutters up and seeing who comes in first. Sometimes it’s a neighbor needing a specific nail, other times someone is looking to repaint a whole room and can't decide on the color. We just stand there and talk through it. The shelves are packed, and honestly, it gets a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s just how a hardware store is. We know where most things are kept, even if it looks a bit crowded to someone else. Malakpet stays busy, especially with the clinic across the way, so there is always noise and people moving around outside. It’s just a regular place where we sell stuff that helps people fix their homes or finish a project they started. We don't have fancy displays, just the stock we’ve gathered over the years. If someone needs a bucket of paint or a new hammer, they stop by, we find it, and they go on their way. It’s simple work, but it keeps us busy from morning until we close up at night. Nothing too complicated about it. We just open the doors and see what the day brings.
