Sri Sai Parameshwara Handlooms

Our place, Sri Sai Parameshwara Handlooms, is located in the LPT Market over in L B Nagar. We are up on the second floor in Shop No. 213. If you’ve ever been to the market in Hyderabad, you know how it is—lots of shops, lots of fabrics, and plenty of noise. We’ve got stacks of handloom items everywhere. It’s not the most organized-looking shop because we have so many different rolls and pieces tucked away in corners. We mostly deal with traditional weaves. It’s the kind of stuff that takes time and effort to make, so we try to treat the items with a bit of respect. There are usually a few of us here folding cloth or showing things to customers who make the trip up to the second floor. It’s a bit quieter up here than it is on the ground level, which we like. We don’t really do big sales pitches. People come in, they feel the fabric, and they decide if they like it or not. We just tell them where it came from and how it was made. It’s a simple way to run a business. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in the market. We just want to keep the handloom tradition going and make sure our customers leave with something they actually want to wear or use. It's just us and the fabrics.
