Sri Laxmi Gruha Udyog is situated over on plots 97, 98, and 99 in Bachupally. If you’re looking for us, we’re right across from the Volvo bus service center. It’s a busy spot with all the buses coming and going. We have a bit of space here since we use three plots for our work. It’s a gruha udyog, so it’s very much a local, home-style operation. We spend the days preparing things, mostly by hand or with small machines. There is a lot of cleaning involved because we handle food products. It’s not like a big automated factory. There are people everywhere doing different tasks, like packing or sorting. The air usually smells like whatever we are making that day. It can be quite a lot of work to keep everything organized across the different plots. We started small and just added more space as we needed it. Most of the people working here live nearby in Bachupally or the surrounding areas. We don’t have fancy uniforms, just comfortable clothes for working. It’s a practical environment. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when deliveries arrive, especially with the traffic from the service center across the road. We just get on with it and try to keep things moving as smoothly as possible. It is a family-oriented way of working and we like it that way. It's just simple people making simple things for the local market here.
