Down in the industrial area of Cherlapally, you will find us at Plot No. 180 in Phase 5. Sri Laxmi Eco Products India Pvt. Ltd. is basically a big workshop where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s not the quietest place to work. There are always trucks moving in the next plot and the sound of machines from across the street. Our unit is focused on eco products, so there is usually a lot of raw material stacked up near the entrance. We don't have a fancy air-conditioned lobby. It’s a workspace through and through. The floor is concrete and has some stains from years of use. We have a small office tucked in the corner where the paperwork happens, but we prefer being out where the production is going on. The team is small and we’ve all known each other for a long time. We don't use big words or have long meetings about strategy. We just see what needs to be done and we do it. The dust from the industrial estate gets everywhere, so we are always wiping down the desks. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here from the city, but it’s where the real work happens. We eat our lunch together in the small break area. There’s nothing polished about us, just people working hard in a busy part of town.
