Sri Balaji Gold & Silver Works

We are located in Sharada Nagar Colony, right across from the SBH Bank in Tallagadda. The address is 12-2-417/83 in the Karwan area of Asif Nagar Mandal. This is a small workshop where we work with gold and silver. It’s been in the family for a long time. You can hear the sound of small hammers and tools clicking throughout the day. We don’t have a huge glass storefront like the big jewelry chains you see in the city. It’s more of a traditional setup. We sit on the floor or at low benches to do the delicate work. Sometimes the light isn't the best, so we use these old lamps to see the tiny details on a ring or a chain. People bring in their old jewelry to get it fixed or polished. We also make new things if someone asks for a specific design they have in mind. It takes a lot of time and patience. Sometimes a piece doesn't come out right and we have to start over. That's just how it goes with metalwork. The shop gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we have a small fan that helps. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’re still here at the same spot. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from morning till night. Most of our customers are locals who have known us for generations.
