Our little shop is over in Vikas Nagar, right near the Gowtham Model School. You can usually hear the kids during their break times while we’re in here working on frames or testing someone's vision. Dilsukhnagar is always crowded, so it’s nice to have this spot tucked away a bit. We’ve got shelves full of glasses and the eye clinic part handles the prescriptions. It’s mostly families from the neighbourhood who stop by. Parents bring their kids in when they can’t see the blackboard at school, or older folks come for their reading glasses. We don't have a big corporate team; it's just us here making sure the lenses fit right and the frames aren't crooked. Sometimes the shop gets a bit dusty with all the traffic outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the glass cases. We’ve been at this 4-82 address for a bit now, and we know most of the people walking past. It isn't a high-end boutique with lights and music, just a place to get your eyes checked and find something to help you see better. If the school is letting out, the street gets really busy with cycles and rickshaws, so we usually just wait for the rush to pass. We just keep things simple, talk to the customers about what they need, and try to get the orders done on time. It is a steady way to spend the week for us.
