We are based out of Kaputhungalam in Visakhapatnam. The office is right by the B.H.P.V. post. It’s a coastal area, so the salt air is something we always have to think about with our equipment. We handle a lot of the industrial infrastructure around here for Simplex Infrastructure Ltd. The sun is usually pretty harsh, so the office is a bit of a refuge during the mid-afternoon. We have a lot of maps of the port and the local terrain. It’s a straightforward operation. We have a small team that manages the local laborers and the supply chain. We don't have a lot of extra space. It’s mostly filled with safety gear and rolls of plans. We focus on the technical details of building in this kind of environment. It’s not easy work, especially when the weather gets rough. We’ve been here in Visakhapatnam-12 for a while. Most of the guys know the local docks and sites like the back of their hands. We don’t go in for fancy talk. We just tell you what can be done and how long it will take. It’s a very grounded way of doing business. We keep our tools sharp and our records as tidy as we can. It’s a busy life, always something to build or fix. There are always trucks moving in and out of the yard area nearby. We just keep our heads down.
