We’ve been working out of Archana Arcade in Secunderabad for a while now. It's a busy spot right by the railway station, so there is always a lot of noise and people moving about. Most days you'll find us looking over drawings and trying to figure out how to make things fit in the space we have. Designing buildings isn't always pretty, it's mostly about solving puzzles with walls and windows. We’ve seen Hyderabad change quite a bit from our windows here. People come in with an idea for a house or an office, and we just try to put it on paper so it makes sense for them. Sometimes the site visits are long and dusty, but that's just how the job goes. It’s not fancy work, but it keeps us busy. We handle the blueprints and the technical stuff that comes with planning a structure. Mostly, we just want things to stand up straight and work the way they're supposed to for the people living there. Being near the station means there's always a bit of soot on the windows, but we're used to it. We just stick to our desks and get the drawings done. It's a small team here, just a few of us who know our way around a drafting table. We don't do much talking about big ideas, we just focus on the actual building part. If you’re around Secunderabad, you probably know the area well. It’s just us doing our bit for the local streets.
