Shifa Ali

I run my workspace, Shifa Ali, out of Lane No 1 in Toli Chowki. It’s a busy little corner of Hyderabad, especially being so close to the Ruman Hotel. If you’ve ever been there, you know the smell of the food is always drifting through the air, which makes it hard to stay focused on work sometimes. The office is a small, simple space where I handle most of my design and consulting work. It isn't anything fancy, just a room with a good desk, a chair, and a lot of notebooks filled with ideas. Toli Chowki is a vibrant area, and Lane 1 has its own character with neighbors always popping in and out. Most of my day is spent right here, sketching out plans or talking to people about what they need for their spaces. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic and the general buzz of the market nearby, but I’ve grown used to it over time. Finding the place is usually easy once you spot the hotel landmark. I’ve been working from this location for a while now and I like the convenience of being in such a central spot. There’s no big staff here, just me and occasionally some help when the workload gets too heavy. It’s an honest, local setup where the work speaks for itself without needing any extra polish or corporate jargon attached to it.
