Our office is up on the 6th floor of the Suryakiran Complex, which is on S D Road. Specifically, we are in suite 605. Being in a big complex like this means there are always people in the elevators and a lot of activity in the hallways. We work on housing projects. Most of the day involves looking at plans, talking to contractors, and dealing with all the paperwork that comes with building houses. It is not all glamorous; a lot of it is just sitting at desks and making sure the numbers add up. From our window, you can see some of the city, which is a nice break when the work gets a bit repetitive. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee or tea. The office is filled with files and rolls of architectural drawings. We try to stay organized, but when we are in the middle of a project, things can get a bit messy. S D Road is a central spot, so it is easy to get to, though the traffic can be tough during rush hour. We do not have any big mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do the work that needs to be done for the current housing developments, and go home. It is a steady job with a lot of details to keep track of every single day. The security guards at the bottom of the building know us by name now. It is a bit of a climb if the lift is broken.
