Semi-Govt Organization

The name on the door is Semi-Govt Organization. Our address is listed as appended separately, which sounds a bit official and strange, but that is just how it is recorded in the files. We work in a way that is a bit different from a private company. There are a lot of files and a lot of rules to follow. The atmosphere is quiet, mostly. We have those old wooden desks and metal filing cabinets that have been around since before I started working here. Our location isn't something we talk about much because of the "appended separately" thing in the records. We just come in, do our filing, answer the letters, and go about our business. It feels a bit like stepping back in time when you walk into our office. There is a lot of paperwork. We don't have fancy tech or modern furniture. Everything is very functional and a bit grey. We don't have a marketing department telling us what to say to people. We just follow the procedures. The coffee is usually stale, and the clock on the wall ticks quite loudly. Some people might find it boring, but it is a steady way of life for us. We are just part of the system, doing our bit for the organization. It isn't a place for big dreams or flashy shows. It is just about the work that needs doing every day. We don't have a mission statement on the wall, just a calendar and some notices. It's very plain.
