Golden Polymer Corporation

Our place is right there near the BSNL bus stop in Seetharampuram. Everyone uses that bus stop as a landmark to find us since the street names can be a bit confusing around here. Inside the building, it’s mostly just rows of machines and big bags of plastic pellets. It gets quite hot during the day, especially when the heaters for the polymer molds are running full blast. We’ve got a small crew of about ten people who keep things moving. We don't really have a front desk or a lobby, you just walk in and someone will be there near the loading dock. Most of our time is spent watching the extruders and making sure the plastic comes out the right shape. It’s a lot of standing and checking the cooling water levels. Sometimes the power goes out in Seetharampuram, and everything just stops, so we sit outside by the bus stop and wait for it to come back on. It’s not a fancy corporation like the name might suggest, just a practical workshop where we work with polymers all day. We’ve been at this location for a long time, and the building is starting to show its age, but the equipment still runs fine. We usually wrap things up by six and head home. It’s a steady rhythm that we’ve all gotten used to over the years.
