Kamala Press

Kamala Press is tucked away in the industrial estate over in Sanathnagar, specifically at 7/2 C/ 7 and 8. It’s a bit of a maze back here sometimes, but we’ve been in this spot for a good while. Inside, it’s usually pretty loud because the presses are almost always running. We handle a lot of paper and ink every single day. It’s a messy job sometimes, and you’ll usually see us with some ink on our clothes by the time we head home. We started out small and just kept at it, adding a bit more equipment as we went along. The air always smells a bit like chemicals and fresh paper, which you get used to after a week or two. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People just come in, drop off what they need, and we get to work. It’s a practical setup for people who just want their printing done without a lot of talking. We spend most of our time hovering over the machines making sure nothing jams up. Sanathnagar is a good place for a business like ours because there are so many other workshops nearby. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a bit over the years, but our little corner of the industrial estate stays pretty much the same. It’s just us, the paper, and the machines working through the day.
