Our place is located at Plot Number 11-176/2 in Valmiki Nagar, which is over in the Fathnagar area. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find us, you’ll see we have a pretty steady operation going. We’ve got a good amount of space for our chemical stock. It isn't a glamorous job, but it is necessary work. Most of the day involves checking the inventory and talking to the drivers who come to pick up orders. The neighborhood of Valmiki Nagar is a mix of small businesses and houses, so there is always some activity on the street. We have a small office area tucked into the front of the plot. It’s got a couple of desks and a lot of files. We aren't big on using fancy computer systems for everything; a lot of our notes are still kept on paper. The gate stays open most of the day to let the air circulate, though it also lets in a bit of the street noise. We’ve been at this for a while, so we know the local rhythms. In the evenings, things quiet down a bit as the other shops close up. We usually stay until the last order is packed and ready for the morning. It’s just a regular local business where we show up, do the work, and go home to our families.
