Samaikhya Designs

Our office for Samaikhya Designs is tucked away in G1 of Sarada Apartments on that little lane opposite Barista on Road No.1. Banjara Hills is always loud and busy, so having a quiet spot to sit and draw is nice. We spend most of our time here looking at fabric samples or sketching out floor plans. It is not a huge operation, just a few of us who really like putting spaces together. Sometimes the traffic outside is so bad it takes forever to get to a site visit, but that is just part of living here. We started doing this because we like the way a room feels when everything is in its place. You can usually find us surrounded by stacks of catalogs and half-finished drawings. It is messy, but it works for us. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It is just a workroom where we get things done. We talk to vendors, yell at contractors over the phone when things aren't right, and try to make sure the colors look okay under different lights. Sometimes we lose track of time and realize it's late evening and we haven't even had lunch yet. We just keep at it because there is always another project needing attention or a client wondering about a specific detail. It is just what we do every day. We enjoy the work.
