Sri Vengamamba Mining Company has its office at 17/1/388/9 in Sri Lakshmi Nagar. When people hear the word mining, they usually think of big pits in the ground and massive machinery, which is true, but our daily life here in the office is much more ordinary. We handle the logistical side of things, the permits, and the coordination that keeps the actual mining sites running. Sri Lakshmi Nagar is a decent area, mostly residential with some businesses mixed in, so it’s a lot quieter than being out at the actual quarries. Our office is just a regular room with some computers, a few filing cabinets that have seen better days, and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. We spend a lot of time waiting for reports to come in or dealing with the government offices. It’s not the kind of job that looks exciting on the outside, but there is always something that needs fixing or someone who needs a question answered. We’ve been doing this for a while now, and we’ve learned that patience is the most important thing in this business. We aren't a huge corporation with hundreds of employees; we are a small team that knows the industry inside out. The coffee here is pretty bad, and the printer jams more than it should, but we get the job done every day regardless of those little annoyances.
