We have been running this small spot in Vanasthalipuram for quite some time now. If you know the area, you probably see us every time you head over to the Ganesh temple or go to handle some business at the Canara Bank right next door. Our place is Plot number 53, and it is pretty easy to find once you are on that main stretch. We handle both eye checkups and the optical side of things here, so there are usually plenty of frames sitting out on the counters for people to try on. It is not a very big or fancy office, just a practical space where we spend most of our day. The neighborhood gets busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is out doing their chores. We spend a lot of time just cleaning the glass cases and making sure the lenses are sorted right. Sometimes the noise from the street gets a bit loud, but we are used to it by now. People from the nearby blocks stop in often, sometimes just to ask for directions or to get their glasses tightened because a screw fell out. It is a simple routine we have here. We open up, tidy the chairs, and wait for whoever needs their vision checked. It feels like a real part of the community since we have seen so many neighbors grow up over the years. We just keep things moving along quietly every day.
