Sai Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. is located in Flat No 211 of Challa Estate in Erragadda. It’s a busy part of Telangana, and the estate itself has a lot of small businesses crammed together. Our lab isn’t a giant facility with glass walls; it’s a functional space inside an apartment building. We have been here for a few years, and we’ve gotten used to the daily climb up to the second floor. The work we do is pretty repetitive, mostly looking at samples and writing down numbers. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy stuff about us. It’s just us scientists and a couple of office people trying to get the reports out on time. The space is a bit tight with all the equipment, but we’ve learned how to move around each other without bumping into things. Erragadda is always noisy with traffic and people, so the lab is actually a quiet escape once the door is closed. We take our lunch breaks together in the small kitchen area. We’ve known each other for a long time, so it feels more like a family than a corporation. Sometimes the equipment acts up and we have to spend the whole afternoon fixing a sensor. It’s not glamorous work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tests we have to run each day.
