Sai Datta Furniture Gallery

We are set up at the Sri Devi Complex in Chaitanyapuri, right next to Food World. It’s a pretty easy place to find if you’re in the neighborhood. Our shop, Sai Datta Furniture Gallery, is basically filled to the brim with all kinds of wooden pieces and sofas. Walking in, you’ll usually smell sawdust or polish because there’s always something being moved or cleaned. We have beds, cupboards, and dining tables squeezed in wherever they fit. It gets a bit tight sometimes, but we like having a lot of options out on the floor for people to see. It’s a family-run kind of vibe here. We do not have those fancy lighting systems you see in big malls. We just use regular bulbs and keep the doors open for the breeze. Dealing with furniture is heavy work, especially when we have to shift a wardrobe across the room. My back usually aches by the end of the day. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about what kind of wood lasts longer or which cushion feels right. Chaitanyapuri is a busy spot, so we see a lot of foot traffic. Sometimes kids run in while their parents are shopping at the grocery store next door. We don’t mind. It’s just how things go here. We try to keep the place organized, but with so many chairs and tables, it’s a constant battle for space.
