You’ll find S Kumar Enterprises on the 1st Floor at Plot No: 28/3 in the Cie Ida-gandhi Nagar part of Balanagar. Being on the first floor means we have to carry everything up and down the stairs, which is a bit of a workout every day. Balanagar is a very old industrial area in Hyderabad, so everything feels a bit cramped and lived-in. There is grease on the walls and the smell of metal in the air. We have a small space, but we use every inch of it. We have some older machines that we’ve repaired ourselves more times than I can count. They still work fine for what we need. It’s a bit hot up here since we’re closer to the roof, but we have some big fans that help move the air around. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us with our sleeves rolled up, working on something. We drink a lot of coffee to keep going through the long afternoons. The neighbors in the building are all doing similar work, so we often borrow tools from each other if something breaks. It’s a tight-knit community here. We don't do any marketing or have a big brand. People just know us because we’ve been in this same spot for so long. We just do the work as it comes and try to stay organized.
