Royal Frames & Gifts

If you walk into the Chenoy Trade Centre and head over to number 83, that is where you will find us. Parklane is always busy, so getting here in the morning takes longer than it should. The shop is filled with all sorts of frames and things we have picked out over the years. We spend a lot of time measuring glass and making sure the corners of the frames line up just right. It is dusty work, honestly. No matter how much I wipe the counters, more dust seems to settle by lunchtime. We get all kinds of people coming in, some looking for a gift for a wedding and others just wanting to put a photo of their kids on the wall. The lighting in the mall isn't the best, but we have our own lamps to see what we are doing. Sometimes the air conditioning works well and other days it feels like it is barely trying. We usually eat our lunch in the back room while talking about whatever was on the news that morning. It’s a small space, so we have to stay organized or we would never find anything. Most of our days are spent cutting mats or wrapping up boxes for people to take home. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. It’s a quiet enough job most of the time, even with all the noise from the other shops nearby.
