Reliance Communications Ltd

This record is quite specific to a time and a project. We were doing SAP R3 implementation and support back between 2005 and November 2008. It was a busy stretch for Reliance Communications Ltd, working with Sakata Inx India Ltd. Those years were filled with a lot of long nights and a lot of technical troubleshooting. We didn’t have a fancy permanent office for this; we were mostly on-site or in temporary setups wherever the servers were. It was a time of learning the ropes and making sure the systems didn’t crash when everyone needed them. The team was smaller then, and we spent a lot of time together in cramped rooms with too many cables on the floor. We ate a lot of takeout food and drank way too much tea to stay awake. It wasn't the most organized period, but we got the support work done for the clients. Looking back, those three years felt like a lifetime because of how much we had to handle. Everything was about the implementation cycle and meeting those deadlines. We didn't have time for anything polished or corporate. It was just grit and technical work. Even though that specific period is over, it’s still part of our history. We still remember the specific problems we solved and the way the old software used to behave. It’s just a piece of our story that stayed on the records and we talk about it sometimes.
