Ramoji Film City

Our office isn’t actually inside the big film sets you see on TV. We are located in the Penta Reddy Building, specifically on the second floor of Plot No. 50. It’s over in Subhadra Nagar, which is part of the Vanasthalipuram area in Hyderabad. It’s a bit of a climb up those stairs every morning, but it keeps us moving. The office itself is pretty functional. We have some desks, a lot of paper stacks, and the usual hum of the air conditioner trying to fight the Hyderabad heat. Being associated with the film city name means people expect a lot of glitz, but here it’s mostly just administrative work. We spend a lot of time on the phone or typing away at computers. It gets quite noisy outside with the traffic on the main road, but we’ve learned to tune it out. Sometimes we grab snacks from the vendors downstairs during our breaks. It’s a very local way of working. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything; you just walk in and we’re right there working. It’s a practical setup for the staff who live in this part of the city. We’ve been in this building for a while now, and it feels like a second home to most of us. We just handle the day-to-day needs and keep things moving.
