You can find us at Plotno 35 in the Ida Kattedan area of Rajendranagar. We do poly packing here. It’s a lot of plastic sheets and big machines that fold and seal them all day long. The noise is constant once we start the shift in the morning, so we usually have to shout to be heard. We have a fairly large space, but it fills up fast with the finished rolls ready for transport. The floors are hard concrete and get pretty cold in the winter months. Kattedan is a busy place, and the roads can get blocked with big lorries and delivery vans at any hour. We have to plan our pickups early in the morning to avoid the midday mess on the narrow roads. Our crew is small but they know exactly how to handle the machines when they act up. We don't bother with fancy uniforms or long corporate meetings. We just talk about the work while we drink tea during the afternoon break. There is always a lot of scrap plastic that needs to be collected and recycled. We try to keep the machines oiled so they don't break down at the wrong time. Most of the people working around here have been in the packing industry for many years. We aren't doing anything revolutionary or special. We just make sure the bags are the right size and strength for the customers. It’s just a normal day. The evening commute can be slow.
