S S Polyflex

S S Polyflex is tucked into Plot No 16/E/4 in Ida Kattadan, over in Rajendranagar. It’s an industrial spot, so it’s not exactly pretty, but it’s where the work happens. We focus on polyflex materials, which means we spend a lot of time around big rolls of film and printing machines. The smell of ink and plastic is pretty much part of our daily life. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist in a suit. Usually, if you walk in, you’ll find us wearing work clothes and probably busy with a machine. We started this because we knew how to work the equipment, and it just grew from there. It’s a family-run feel, even if not everyone is related. We eat lunch together and complain about the traffic on the main road. The work is steady, and we don't try to make it sound like more than it is. We make flexible packaging. It’s used for all sorts of things you see in shops. We don't have a marketing department. We just rely on the fact that we've been here for years and people know our address. The walls are a bit stained and the floor is scuffed, but that’s because we’re actually using the space. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We just get the orders out and try to stay on top of the maintenance. When things get busy, we just stay a few extra hours and get it done. No one makes a big deal about it, we just keep the reels turning.
