Our office is on the 5th floor of Metro Plaza in Mehdipatnam. It’s tucked right behind the Gowtam Model School. If you know Hyderabad, you know this area gets pretty loud and lively. That fits us well since we are a news channel. We run Rachana Television, though most people just call us Ntv. It’s a fast-paced environment here. Cameras, desks, and people running around trying to meet deadlines are common sights. Being in room 506 means we see a lot of the city action from our windows. We aren't a giant global media firm, just a local group trying to tell the stories happening in our streets. Sometimes the lifts in the plaza are slow, and we’re all rushing to get out to a story. It’s not always glamorous. There’s a lot of sitting around waiting for news to break and then the frantic rush to get it on air. We use everyday language because that’s who we are talking to. The team here knows the Mehdipatnam area inside out. We don’t have some polished script about our vision. We just want to report what’s going on so people know what’s happening in their neighborhoods. It’s hard work, and the hours are long, but it feels right to be in the middle of it all. We’ve been at this address for a bit now, and the neighbors at the school probably hear us coming and going at all hours.
