You can find Gussies Garments & Textiles over at Vani Vihar Square in Malakpet. Our address is No. 16-2-147-64/1, and we are up on the 1st Floor in Anand Nagar, Professor Colony. The shop is usually a bit of a mess because we are always in the middle of three or four different things at once. We have rolls of cloth leaned up against the walls and boxes of thread everywhere you look. It’s a busy place, and the sound of the sewing machines is the background music to our lives. Sometimes the power cuts out and everything goes quiet, which is actually a bit weird until the generator kicks in. We’ve been working out of this Malakpet location for a while now, and we know the area like the back of our hands. The Vani Vihar Square junction gets really congested during rush hour, so we usually stay late to avoid the worst of it. We don't have a fancy website or a catalog. If someone wants to see what we have, they just have to come up the stairs and take a look at the shelves. The door handle is a bit loose, so you have to pull it hard to get it to shut properly. We’re just a small group of people trying to keep up with the orders and making sure the fabric is handled right. It’s not a glamorous job, but it keeps us busy and we like the neighborhood.
