Private Clinic

This private clinic is situated at D 57 within the RBI Staff Quarters. It is right behind the Telephone Exchange, which is the easiest way to describe where we are to anyone new. The quarters are a quiet spot, and we are tucked in among the residential buildings. It doesn't look like a typical office from the outside since it is part of the housing area. We have a small sign up so people don't get lost looking for the door among all the other houses. Inside, the rooms are plain with white walls and basic grey flooring. We have a few benches for waiting and a desk where we keep all the records in manila folders. The telephone exchange nearby means there is some coming and going of workers and trucks, but mostly it's just the quiet of the quarters. We see a lot of people who live right here in the staff housing, but others from the surrounding neighborhood come by too. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed and low-key. We don't rush through things, but we do try to keep the wait times down so people aren't sitting around for hours. Sometimes the birds in the trees outside get a bit loud in the mornings, but it’s much better than listening to constant traffic noise. We keep a small kettle in the back for the staff and the smell of tea often drifts into the hallway. It is a practical place that serves the people nearby without any fuss.
