We've been at Plot No. 45 in Surya Nagar for quite a while now. Most people know the spot because it's right near the petrol pump on HMT Road here in Balanagar. It's a busy area, but we like being here. We mostly deal with plastic dies and various crafts. It's dusty work sometimes. The workshop stays pretty loud during the day with the machines running. We aren't a huge team, just a group of people who know how to handle the molds and the plastic. Sometimes things get a bit hectic when a big order comes in. We spend a lot of time just making sure the cuts are right and the dies work like they should. It’s not fancy work, but it needs doing. The shop floor is usually covered in scraps of plastic. We open up early and stay until the work is finished. If you walk past the petrol pump, you can usually hear us. We’ve seen the neighborhood change over the years. Some shops closed, others opened. But we just keep doing our thing at the same plot. We handle the technical side of the plastic molding and the craft part too. It’s a lot of manual checking. We use the space we have as best as we can. It’s tight in there but we have a system. We don’t have a big front office or anything like that. Just the workspace where the actual jobs get done. That’s how we like it. We focus on the quality of the molds above everything else. If the die isn't right, nothing else will be. We make sure to double check the measurements before we start any big run. It keeps us busy and the days go by fast.
