Pranavi Sarees

Pranavi Sarees is a small shop located at 15-2-537 in the Gowliguda area of Hyderabad. Gowliguda is one of those places that never seems to be quiet. There are people and vehicles everywhere at all hours. Our shop has been here for years, and it looks a lot like many of the other places on the street. We have shelves filled with sarees from floor to ceiling. Most of the time, we are busy folding and unfolding fabric for people who stop by. The shop floor is quite small, so it can get crowded when more than two or three people are inside. We do not have air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day. It gets hot in the summer, but we are used to it by now. My family has been working in this trade for a long time. We do not spend money on big signs or fancy lighting. We just have our stock and a counter where we talk to people. Sometimes we sit on the stools outside the shop when it is slow. Finding a place to park near the shop is almost impossible, so most people just walk over from the main road. It is a simple life running a shop in Hyderabad. We open up in the morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer to arrive. That is how every day goes.
