Ply Depot

Down in Nizampet, we run Ply Depot at Plot No 180. We’re right on Old Age Home Road, which is pretty easy to find if you’re heading towards Atri Public School, since we are directly opposite it. We mostly deal with plywood and related materials for people building furniture or doing up their houses. The shop is often filled with the smell of wood and a bit of dust, which is normal for a place like ours. We spend a lot of time moving sheets around and cutting things to size when needed. Nizampet has grown a lot lately, so there are always new houses going up nearby. We see a lot of carpenters and homeowners coming in to pick out materials. We don’t have a fancy sales pitch. We just show people what we have in the racks and let them decide. It’s a lot of heavy lifting and keeping track of the different grades of ply we have in stock. The school across the street makes it busy during the mornings and afternoons when kids are being dropped off. We just keep doing our thing, day in and day out. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We like the area and the people who come by to chat or buy stuff. The work is physical, but we are used to it by now. It is just a normal local business.
