Planet Signages

Our shop is down in Kachiguda, specifically Shop No-G1 in the Marthi Jeweri Towers. We are in the same building as the SBH, right across from the Tourist Hotel. It is a busy spot with plenty of people walking by all day long. At Planet Signages, we spend our time making all kinds of signs for different businesses. You can usually hear the sound of machines or the smell of ink when you walk in. The space is not huge, but we have managed to fit everything we need into it. We started this business because we liked the idea of making things that people see every day on the street. It is not always pretty work—there is a lot of cleaning up and heavy lifting involved—but we enjoy seeing a finished sign ready to go out. We have been here in Hyderabad for several years now and have gotten to know a lot of the other shop owners in the neighborhood. We do not have a receptionist or anything like that; usually, you just walk in and talk to whoever is free. We try to keep things simple and just focus on getting the letters and logos right. Sometimes we stay late to finish a big order, but that is just part of running a small shop like this. It can be a bit dusty and loud, but it is where we work.
