Satya Textiles Garments

We’re located in the Sri Rama Industrial Estate, over in Patancheru. Our place is number 2C/16 in IDA Phase I. It’s a big industrial zone, so there are always trucks moving in and out, and the air smells like grease and fabric. We have a good-sized space for the sewing machines and all the rolls of cloth we keep on hand. It gets pretty loud when everything is running at once. We don't have a big HR department or anything like that. It’s mostly just a group of us who have been working together for years. We know who is good at what, and we just get on with it. The floors are concrete and stained from years of use, but they’ve seen a lot of hard work. Sometimes the power flickers, which is a pain, but we just restart the machines and keep going. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations or marketing brochures. We’d rather just focus on the garments we’re making. It’s a bit of a drive out here from the main city, but we like being in the middle of the industrial action. We eat our lunch in a small break area that’s mostly just a table and some plastic chairs. It’s an honest living, and we take it one day at a time. That’s our life here at the estate. We just hope the truck traffic isn't too bad tomorrow morning. It's not always smooth sailing, but it's ours.
