Paradise Leather Wear

Over in Phani Giri Colony, specifically at Plot Number 8 on Road Number 4, you’ll find Paradise Leather Wear. This is a family-run kind of thing, started by R. Lakshmi Prasanna. It’s located in the New Maruti Nagar area of Hyderabad. The shop smells like leather all the time, which is something you either love or you don’t. We spend a lot of our time working with the material, cutting and stitching. It’s not a big factory; it’s more of a personal workshop. We have been here in Hyderabad for quite a while, and the neighborhood knows us. We don’t have a shiny storefront at a mall. People usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking past our plot. There’s always scrap leather on the floor and tools scattered on the tables. It’s a bit messy, but that’s how we work best. We aren't interested in being some high-end luxury brand. We just make things out of leather that people can actually use. Sometimes the work is slow when the weather is too hot, but we keep at it. It’s a small team, mostly family and a few helpers. We don't have fancy marketing plans. We just focus on the next piece of leather in front of us. It’s a quiet life here in Maruti Nagar, and we like it that way.
