We run Osman Shahi Catering Services out of Dabeerpura South. You can find us right by the Sultan Kirana Store, not far from the Dabeerpura Police Station. It’s a busy part of Old City Hyderabad. My family has been involved with food for a long time. Our kitchen is where everything happens. It’s always hot and smells like spices and rice. We do catering for all sorts of local events, like weddings or small family gatherings at home. We don't have a big office with desks. Most of our life is spent over large pots and open flames. Handling the logistics of moving food across the city can be a headache, especially with the narrow streets around here. We know the local tastes because we live here too. Sometimes we’re up at three in the morning getting things ready for a lunch order. It’s hard work on your feet all day. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. People usually hear about us from their cousins or neighbors who ate our food at another party. The shop near the police station is where we coordinate everything. It’s a simple setup. We focus on the cooking and making sure the food gets where it needs to go on time. Dabeerpura is a place with a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of it. There is always a lot of shouting and bustle in our kitchen, but that's just how the catering business goes every single day.
