Optic Point

Optic Point is located at 4-1-70 on Hanuman Tekdi, right on Sabharwal Tourist Street in Abids. It is a famous old part of the city, so we see a lot of people walking by all the time. Our shop is where we help people with their eyesight. We have rows of frames sitting in glass cases, some old styles and some newer ones. It is not a very big shop, but we make the most of the space we have. Usually, someone is sitting in the chair getting their eyes tested while others are trying on different glasses in the mirror. We spend a lot of time adjusting the little screws on the frames or cleaning the lenses. Abids is always crowded with tourists and shoppers, so the street noise is something we are used to by now. It feels like a neighborhood spot where people come in just to get their glasses tightened for free. We are not some big chain store. We just know about eyes and lenses and how to make sure a pair of glasses sits right on someone’s nose. Sometimes we get busy and the shop feels a bit cramped, but we just take our time with each person. It is a steady kind of job, helping people see things a bit clearer while the busy world goes on outside our door.
