Venkateswara Selections

We've been at the Ecil X Roads spot for a while now, right across from the telephone exchange. Venkateswara Selections is just a regular shop where we try to keep things that people in Kamalanagar actually want to wear. It gets pretty busy around here especially in the evenings when the traffic picks up. Mostly it’s just us putting out new stock and helping folks find a good fit. We don't have fancy displays or anything, just racks of clothes and some mirrors. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the front but we manage to get the boxes inside. People stop by on their way home from work. My family helps out too, especially during the festival seasons. We keep track of what's popular so we can get more of it next time. It's a small space but we make it work. Most days are spent folding things back up after customers look through them. We've known some of the regulars for years. They come in for a chat as much as for the clothes. We try to keep the prices fair because we live here too. If you're looking for something specific, you can just ask us. It's not a mall experience, just a local shop. The lights can be a bit bright but it helps to see the colors properly. We open early and stay until the last customer leaves. It’s a lot of work but it’s what we do. We like being part of this neighborhood and seeing the same faces every week.
