Om Shakti Enterprises

Our place, Om Shakti Enterprises, is out in Nagaram Village. We are at Plot No 57 in the Venkataderi Nagar area. Being in Keesara Mandal means it is a bit of a drive from the main parts of Hyderabad city, but we like it okay here. The air feels a bit different when you get out this far. We have a small yard in front of Plot No 57 where everyone parks their scooters in a row. The main gate needs a bit of grease because it creaks loudly every time it opens. Inside, it is mostly one big open space with high ceilings. We have a small wooden cabin for the account books and the phone. Most days it is just the sound of the tools and people talking over a small radio in the corner. We do not wear uniforms or anything like that. Just regular clothes that we do not mind getting dirty. Om Shakti Enterprises is a small operation. We know the neighbors at Plot 56 and Plot 58 quite well. Sometimes we borrow a wrench or a ladder from them when we are stuck. The village area is growing fast, so there is more traffic on the road to Keesara Mandal than there used to be. We have a calendar on the wall with some gods on it and a lot of scribbled notes about daily tasks. It is not a fancy place. We just handle things as they come. When the sun goes down, we lock up the gate.
