We get here early in the morning, usually before the sun is fully up, to start taking samples from people who need their results quickly. The lab is filled with various machines and glass tubes, and everything has its specific place, though the desk where we write the reports is usually a bit cluttered with papers and pens. It is a busy environment, especially during the first few hours of the day. The building itself is older, but we keep the inside as clean as possible for the work we do. There is a constant hum from the refrigerators where we keep the samples. We do not have much time for small talk, as there is always another test to run or another report to print out. The staff wears plain coats and we just move from one task to the next. Outside, the roads are often busy with trucks and commuters heading to the different units in Balanagar. It is not the quietest spot, but it is where we need to be to serve the people in this district. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized through the daily rush.
