I’m Navneet Jhawar and I run my business out of Begum Bazar here in Hyderabad. My place is right near the Sathyanarayana Mithai Bandar, which is a landmark everyone around here knows. If you’ve ever been to Begum Bazar, you know how crowded and noisy it gets. It’s a maze of shops and people moving goods all day long. My shop at 14-5-4 is right in the middle of that energy. I handle various goods depending on what's in demand. It’s a family-style operation, nothing too fancy. We open up early and stay until the market starts to quiet down in the evening. There’s always tea being passed around and neighbors stopping by to chat. It’s the kind of place where you know everyone on your street. Working in Begum Bazar requires a lot of patience because of the traffic and the narrow lanes. I’ve been in this spot for quite some time now. We don't spend money on big advertisements or anything like that. People find us because they know where we are or someone told them to come by. The walls are a bit old and the shelves are packed to the ceiling. It’s a practical workspace meant for trading and moving stock. Every day is a bit different depending on who walks in or what the market prices are doing. It’s a tough way to make a living sometimes, but it’s what I know and I plan to keep doing it for years.
