Nava Bharat Ferro Alloys Ltd.

The office is located at D-No: 38-38-89/2 in Sivanagar. We are in the Marripalem part of Visakhapatnam. This place is basically where we manage things for the ferro alloys side of the company. It’s a bit of a residential street, so it’s not as loud as the actual factories further out. G. Pradhan is the person who keeps things running here. We deal with a lot of paperwork and phone calls to different plants. Visakhapatnam is a major port city, so we are always thinking about shipping and transport schedules. The office itself is pretty basic. We have a couple of desks, some old steel cupboards for the files, and a few chairs for when people visit. It gets really humid here because of the ocean, so the ceiling fans are always spinning. We spend our days tracking shipments and making sure the alloys are getting to where they need to go. It’s a lot of coordination between different departments. Sometimes the trucks are late or there’s a problem at the port, and then the office gets really busy and stressful. We don't have any corporate branding on the walls or anything like that. It’s just a place where we do our jobs. Most of us have been working in the metal industry for a long time. We know the local roads and the people at the docks. It’s steady, unremarkable work, but it keeps the bigger industry moving along.
