Uday Timber Traders

If you come down Nagole Main Road, you’ll probably see the piles of wood before you see our sign. Uday Timber Traders is just a basic yard where we deal with different kinds of lumber. It’s always dusty here, and the smell of fresh cut wood is something you never quite get out of your clothes. I’ve been working with timber for years, and it’s heavy, tiring work. We spend a lot of time moving planks around and measuring things for people who come in looking for specific sizes. The traffic on the main road is loud, but you get used to it after a while. Our place at 4/70/21/A isn't anything special to look at, just a practical space for storing and cutting. We don't have a big sales team or a fancy showroom. It's just a few of us making sure the wood is stored properly so it doesn't warp in the heat. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the Nagole traffic, which throws off the whole afternoon, but we just deal with it. People usually come to us because they know we have what they need sitting in the back. It’s a rough business, and my hands are always full of splinters, but it keeps us busy enough throughout the week. We keep a small kettle in the back for making coffee when it rains, and the roof leaks a little in the far corner, but the wood stays dry and that is what really matters at the end of the day.
