Srinivasa Saw Mill

You can find Srinivasa Saw Mill over at 8/77/5, right near the Serenity School in Nagaram. The sound of the saws is pretty much constant during the day, so the school kids probably hear us all the time. We have piles of wood stacked up everywhere, and the smell of fresh sawdust is always in the air. It’s a dusty job, and we’re constantly sweeping up to keep the floors clear. The yard isn't very big, so we have to be careful with how we stack the logs and the finished planks. We’ve been in Nagaram for years now, and we’ve seen the houses grow up all around us. It used to be much quieter. Now, there’s a lot more traffic on the road, which makes it harder for the timber trucks to turn in. Our office is just a small wooden room at the corner of the lot. It’s got a desk and a couple of chairs for when someone comes to talk about an order. We don't use computers for much, mostly just keeping things in our ledgers. It’s a very old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We just focus on cutting the wood straight and getting it ready for whoever needs it. It’s hard on the back, but it’s what we know how to do. Some days the blades get dull faster than others.
